Advice from Golborne Medical on Grenfell Tower
After the traumatic experiences of the Grenfell Tower fire, which has sadly affected many of our patients and their families, it is normal to feel upset and distressed. Such events arouse powerful and disturbing feelings in us which usually settle in time. Many people find that the feelings that they experience after a traumatic event gradually reduce after about a month. However, you may need to see a professional if your feelings are too much for you, or go on for too long. Self referral is possible via Grenfell Wellbeing or via an appointment with your GP at the Surgery. Please feel free to let the staff know your appointment is related to the Grenfell fire so we can ensure we accommodate a longer appointment if needed
If you are experiencing physical issues, including breathlessness, coughing or wheezing from smoke inhalation, book an appointment with your GP. If you need healthcare advice and we are closed, dial the NHS helpline on 111.
Order your regular medicines in the usual way via the practice. Please let your GP know which pharmacy (chemist) you want the prescription to be sent to. If you run out of your medicines you can also go to a pharmacy and ask for an emergency supply.
The Grenfell Response Team website contains up to date information and contact details on financial help, housing, health and other services available to residents. Access a list of services here.
